Background to HEART Publications:

Jesus the cornerstone of our Faith.
HEART Publications was established in 1987 to produce and distribute religious educational resources to schools and parishes throughout the Lismore Diocese and later to schools and parishes throughout Australia.

A 15min video on The Life of Jesus was also produced which accompanied the Blackline Master activity booklet. Later in 1989 this video was accepted for distribution throughout the USA via Brown Publishing & ROA Media, Dubuque IOWA.

Bishop John Satterthwaite, Bishop of Lismore gave his blessing for HEART Publications to carry out this work in 1988.

Bishop John and the Catholic Education Office (CEO) Religious Education Co Ordinator at the time, Mr Graeme Mellor endorsed HEART Publications resources by providing imprimatas for the activity booklets.

Same message different era in time.

Over the years we have witnessed many changes in technology. These changes have enabled us to create different ways to distribute our resources, however, the content of the Good News is ageless and remains unchanged in administering ‘God’s Grace through Jesus Christ’ to the World.

The message that Jesus spoke over 2000 years ago is still the same today. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Just as Jesus used a mountainside as a platform to speak to the multitudes that came to hear his message, we also find our own modern day ‘mountainside’ to do the same. Matthew 5:1-2 ‘Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them’.

We will continue to make use of modern day technology and social media to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
